How a Google Cloud exam voucher works
Three steps from checkout to sitting the exam.
What you receive
After purchase you receive a voucher code by email, sent to the address used at checkout. The code covers the fee for a single attempt at the exam you bought it for. It is not transferable between exams, so check the certification named on the product page before you buy.
Redeeming the code when you book
You book Google Cloud exams through Google’s own certification registration system, signed in with the account you want the certification recorded against. The code is entered at the payment step, where it replaces the exam fee. Use the same account you already hold any Google Cloud certifications under, so your record stays in one place.
Sitting it remotely or at a test centre
Once booked you choose between a remote proctored sitting and a physical test centre. Remote sittings need a quiet private room, a working webcam and a system check run beforehand. Test centres suit anyone without a suitable room at home. The same voucher covers either route.

One code, one attempt
A voucher code is single use. Once it has been redeemed against a booking it is spent, whether or not you sit or pass the exam, and a failed attempt does not return the code. To move an exam date, reschedule through the registration system rather than buying a second voucher.
Tied to one exam
Each voucher is issued for the certification it was sold for and cannot be moved to a different exam after purchase. Google Cloud titles name the certification in full, so check it on the product page before checkout.
Expiry and validity
Every voucher carries a fixed expiry date that cannot be extended, and the exact date varies by batch. Check the expiry before you buy, and book your exam before that date.

Choosing the right Google Cloud certification
Google Cloud groups its certifications by level, and above the entry level by the role you do. If you are not sure which exam you need, start from the work you want to be doing.
Associate
The entry point into Google Cloud certification. Associate exams check that you can deploy and operate workloads on Google Cloud and use the console and command line with confidence, rather than that you can design a platform from scratch.
Professional
Role-specific exams for people already working on Google Cloud. Each one is scoped to a job - architecture, data, security, networking, machine learning, DevOps - and expects design judgement and hands-on experience rather than recall.

What exactly am I buying?
A prepaid code covering the exam fee for one attempt at one Google Cloud certification exam. It is not a course, a practice test or a study subscription, and it does not include a retake.
How do I receive the code?

What happens if I fail the exam?
The code is spent once it has been redeemed against a booking, whether or not you pass. A retake needs a new voucher. Google also applies its own waiting period between attempts at the same exam.
Can I get a refund?
Unredeemed codes are covered by our standard refund policy. Once a code has been redeemed against a booking it cannot be refunded. To move an exam date, reschedule through the registration system rather than buying a second voucher.
